Body Butter Recipe – Homemade, Easy and Cheap!

The following was originally posted on my blog, The Belle of the budget, but felt the word that was too good to be kept secret!

Know the body cream will cost about $ 13 (or more) 4. 5 oz? (This is $ 2. 80 per ounce for you keeping score.) Be ', here's how you can make your own very easily, for a fraction of that. You need: Shea ButterCoconut oil (optional) or essential fragrance oilYou can do this in very small batches, if you like, we are in the measurement of the pieces here. The recipe is: 5 parts of shea butter (liquid): 1 part coconut oil (liquid) to get the ingredients in a liquid state, if not already, briefly heated in a microwave oven until melted entree. Keep an eye on them – they just want the liquid, not hot or burnt. Combine ingredients and stir continuously until mixture begins to cool and thicken, and if you are doing a lot large enough, it can be left to whip in a blender feet. Add your perfume in your case (do it to "taste" – some people like it strong) and make sure it is well blended. You can get Shea for about $ 6 and coconut oil for less than $ 2. 50 – that for about 11 grams of things, the total cost less than a knob of butter small container trade. Now, if we are conquered by misleading claims in body butter, which contains the essence of "fruit", or other fancy ingredients, I leave you a secret: it is likely that you just wave a banana in the bath while stirring. My father used to be in the chemical and participated in the formulation of some beauty products in their day, and insists the majority of products claiming to have the 'essence' of something usually contain virtually none of this . This is, of course, free to broadcast what you like the fruit along the container.
